Ram skull caps available in Medium, Large, and XLarge. Great for taxidermist who need to mount the horns but don’t have the skull. Also a great way to display some horns without the bulkiness of the skull.

Sizes & Measurements:

Med - 1 1/4” x 1 3/4” Diameter base of horn core

5” / 12.5mm circumference base of horn core

5” wide from outside of the eyes

Large - 1 1/2” x 2” Diameter base of horn core

5 5/8” / 14mm circumference base of horn core

5 1/2” wide from outside of the eyes

Xlarge - 1 3/4” x 2 1/4” Diameter base of horn core

6” / 15.2mm circumference base of horn core

5 3/4” wide from outside of the eyes

Keep in mind approximately 1/8”-1/4” of flesh has been removed between the horn corn and the sheath

One or two screws or lag screws can be added to the end of the horn core to add an extended grab point for the bondo or quick set epoxy. For a temporary attachment we recommend hot glue.

We recommend shoving a paper towel into the horn sheath with the horn upside down to keep from having to fill it solid. Then using bondo or 5 min quick set epoxy fill the bases and before it kicks insert the skull (horn core) into the horn sheath as it kicks.

This product is Intended to provide a skull with horn core's for your horn sheaths to slide over.

Mounting Instruction

For a removeable attachment method we recommend using hot glue. For a more permanent bond we recomend using bondo or a 2 part epoxy.

If the horn core is too large trim the horn core down using a rotary tool or sand them down to fit. If the horn core is too small use a product such as white apoxie sculpt to build up the bases and fill the gap.
